Date/TimeSunday 6:00 pm to 8:15 pm Zazen, sitting meditation, 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Two 20 min sittings period with a short kin hin (walking meditation). Tea Break from 7:00 to 7:15pm We complete the evening by chanting "The Heart of the Prajnaparamita" in English. Note: some cushions available; if possible bring your own zafu or bench. Also, if you want to use chairs they are available.

Service Two 20 minute sitting periods, 5 minute walking meditation, chanting of "The 4 Vows." Dharma reading, discussion, and fellowship.
Readings Selections from Suzuki Roshi, Thich Nhat Hanh, Maezumi Roshi, Joko Beck, etc.
Teacher None. Rotating leaders.
The Sangha We are a small (4-5 regulars) lay group formed by Northwoods members in February '98. We're all "beginners" and welcome anyone interested in starting or furthering their practice and study of Buddhism.

Chairs and throwpillows available, or bring your own zafu or bench.

Instruction First time to formally sit? Contact Dwight or Jerry below. A Sangha member will be happy to meet you a few minutes before the 6:00PM service and give you a brief introduction to meditation and our service.
